Bivouac in our cave – sleeping under the stars

Experience the Magic of Sleeping Under the Stars with Us

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the desert and the authenticity of Bedouin culture with our unique bivouac experience. Spend the night in our secluded cave or under the vast open sky, far from the distractions of modern life.

Our Cave: A Natural Desert Retreat

Nestled in the southern desert, our cave is not enclosed by walls. It’s a simple rock overhang that offers protection from the sun, wind, and occasional rain—a perfect spot for connecting with nature in its purest form. Far from settlements, this is an oasis of tranquility.

What to Expect When Sleeping Under the Stars

Our bivouac adventure begins with a journey to the cave as the day winds down. Your guide will dedicate the entire evening to making your experience unforgettable. They’ll set up your sleeping area with comfortable mattresses, heavy blankets, and clean sleeping bags. A warm bonfire will light the night as your guide prepares a traditional Bedouin meal, a BBQ including rice, potatoes, salads, vegetables, and more.

While dinner is being prepared, you can explore the surroundings, watch the stunning sunset, or simply relax by the fire. Throughout the night, your guide will share stories of Bedouin culture and heritage, passed down through generations. You can also enjoy music, play cards, or even dance. Occasionally, other Bedouins from our family or friends join in to share their stories and celebrate the evening.

When it’s time to sleep, you’ll lie beneath a canopy of stars. On clear nights, you might spot the Milky Way or even shooting stars. The next morning, wake up to the sunrise, surrounded by breathtaking desert landscapes—an experience that will stay with you forever.

Organizing the Perfect Bivouac Site

We choose our bivouac locations carefully, always prioritizing remote, untouched areas away from human settlements and artificial lights. The exact spot depends on your tour program and weather conditions.

To maintain the spirit of the desert, we keep our groups small, with a maximum of six people. This can be extended if everyone is from the same group, but we strive to preserve the intimate experience.

Delicious Meals in the Desert

Dinner: Enjoy a hearty meal featuring salads, rice, potatoes, bread, barbecue, and zarb—a traditional Bedouin dish cooked in the sand. We also serve Bedouin tea, water, soda, and sweets for dessert.

Breakfast: Start your day with tea, hummus, cheese, fresh vegetables, bread, fruits, and more.

Vegetarian options are always available, and we’re happy to accommodate dietary requirements—just let us know when you book.
